Martine Packer and Alexa Forbes established Packer Forbes Communications in January 1993; at that time, one of the first specialist independent healthcare consultancies in the UK. After 18 years, Packer Forbes is now the longest standing, independent healthcare agency in the UK and is still evolving and growing.
Packer Forbes’ first campaign was National Eczema Week; a consumer awareness campaign implemented with increasing success for over 5 years on behalf of the National Eczema Society. Since then, Packer Forbes has worked across many different disease areas alongside most of the UK’s leading pharmaceutical companies and healthcare charities.
Always determined to retain the benefits a small agency can deliver, Packer Forbes has since gone on to win a Communiqué Award for Best Small Consultancy on no less than three occasions as well as a large number of other industry awards for the campaigns run by the agency over the years.
Martine stepped away from jointly running the agency in 2003 to concentrate on her writing. Alexa is now CEO and still very much involved in running the agency alongside a highly experienced Senior Management Team and a full team of approximately 20 consultants.
